The Investor said buy 22 times from April, 2008, to November, 2020, at prices ranging from $28 to $108. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the 22 buys, the $22,000 position is now worth $52,000. Thomson sells specialized information products to legal, tax and accounting professionals. It also owns the Reuters news service, and it has a 45-per-cent interest in Refinitiv, which sells financial information products. In this brief update, the Investor reminds readers that Refinitiv is about to be merged with the London Stock Exchange. Thomson will own 15 per cent of the combined company once the deal closes in the coming days or weeks. Buy.
