The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, July 26, edition that CIBC World Markets analyst Nik Priebe has reaffirmed his "neutral" recommendation for TMX Group. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Priebe boosted his share target by $4 to $34. Analysts on average target the shares at $31.63. Mr. Priebe says in a note: "From a technical perspective, TMX shares have recently broken out of their three-year trading range and the company has delivered six consecutive earnings beats (all with a positive share price reaction on the announcement date). We have no reason to speculate on the likelihood of a beat in Q2, but acknowledge that another positive earnings surprise (of a reasonable magnitude) could help sustain the momentum." The Globe reported on April 12 that BMO Capital Markets analyst Etienne Ricard had reaffirmed his "market perform" recommendation for TMX Group. The shares were then going for $138.45. The Globe reported on May 4 that National Bank Financial analyst Jaeme Gloyn was keeping his recommendation for TMX Group unchanged at "sector perform." The shares could then be had for $138.82.
