VR Resources receives New Boston permit expansion

2026-10-20 14:55 ET - News Release

Dr. Michael Gunning reports

VR RECEIVES NOI PERMIT WITH EXPANDED DRILL SITE COVERAGE FOR ITS NEW BOSTON MOLY-COPPER-TUNGSTEN-SILVER PORPHYRY PROJECT IN NEVADA

VR Resources Ltd.'s NOI (notice of work) drill permit expansion application and associated bond have been approved by the Nevada Bureau of Land Management (BLM). The process is complete, and drilling may proceed.

A site visit was recently completed at New Boston on Oct. 8 to Oct. 9 to inspect the 16 sites now approved for drilling and to fully scope project logistics for the planned program.

Permit timelines

The company received its initial NOI permit for the Jeep mine area on March 6, 2026. That permit identified eight potential sites for drilling and facilitated the completion of drill hole NB26-003 in June, which intersected 317 metres at 0.77 per cent copper equivalent starting at surface, above 419 m of 0.48 per cent CuEq, in 2,892 feet (881 m) of continuous polymetallic stockwork veining with molybedenum, copper, tungsten and silver mineralization (see news release dated Aug. 26, 2026).

The company submitted an amendment to that NOI permit on Sept. 11 in order to increase the area covered and double the number of potential drill sites for follow-up drilling from eight to 16. The permit application was approved in four business days, on Sept. 16. The reclamation bond associated with the new permit was submitted on Oct. 6 and approved on Oct. 9.

Dr. Michael Gunning, chief executive officer of the company, commented: "Successful permitting and bonding is the first and key hurdle to facilitate follow-up drilling at New Boston. Planning is fully under way now, and we look forward to providing further updates.

"Two site visits were completed during the past two weeks. Exploration modelling is in hand from more than four years of continuous exploration, as are vectors from the geochemical and alteration mineral data in hole NB26-003. We know exactly where we want to drill next in follow-up to the 2,892-foot intersection in NB26-003 in June."

On-site field videos taken during the recent site visit to New Boston are available on the New Boston project page on the company's website. They further illustrate the key messages herein with regard to vein intensity at New Boston, road access on the property, the strength of local infrastructure, and the long-standing history and pedigree of the exploration and mining industry in Nevada. Descriptions of the location, geology and history of New Boston can also be found on the project page, along with maps, sections, and outcrop, hand sample and drill core photographs.
