The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Sept. 14, edition that RBC Capital Markets analyst Greg Pardy has reaffirmed his "sector perform" recommendation for Vermilion Energy. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Pardy tweaked his share target ahead by $3 to $25. Analysts on average target the shares at $24.93. Mr. Pardy adjusted his share target in the wake of a recent update with Vermilion's executives. The Globe says in a note: "Vermilion continues to make progress toward reestablishing its premium framework characterized by free cash flow generation, a strong balance sheet and rising shareholder returns. We could become more bullish toward the company with improved operational execution and further portfolio streamlining." The Globe reported on July 21 that Canaccord Genuity analyst Mike Mueller commenced coverage on Vermilion Energy with a "buy" recommendation and a $24.50 share target. Vermilion shares could then be had for $17.98. The Globe reported on July 26 that Desjardins Securities analyst Chris MacCulloch had cut his recommendation for Vermilion Energy to "hold" from "buy." The shares could then be had for $17.72.
