The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Nov. 17, edition that Stifel analyst Stephen Soock has lowered his recommendation for Americas Gold and Silver to "sell" from "hold." The Globe's David Leeder writes that Mr. Soock's share target tumbled 35 cents to 25 cents, a Street low. Analysts on average target the shares at $1.15. Mr. Soock says Americas Gold is struggling to make money. Mr. Soock says in a note: "We continue to see enormous going concern risk for Americas Gold and Silver. Even with the regular quarterly injection of a few million dollars, we do not see a path forward for the company with the current cap structure. We continue to see value in the Galena and Cosala assets that could be unlocked through different ownership that could provide the necessary capital injections to allow them to realize their full potential. Our NAV forecast has decreased by 40 per cent to 39 cents per share. ... The company finished Q3 with $890,000 in cash and working capital deficit of $25.3-million, widening from the $18.1-million deficit reported at the end of Q2. Sandstorm injected cash of $2.75-million during the quarter and $2.15-million subsequently, and once again ended up 'buying their own ounces.'"
