The Financial Post reports in its Wednesday edition analysts are giving UrtheCast the thumbs-up after it launched a pair of high-definition cameras to the International Space Station this week. The Post's John Shmuel, writing in Trading Desk, says both cameras will be attached to the outside of the ISS and allow viewers on earth to watch nearly live video streams of the planet's surface in high-def. The two cameras were launched aboard a Progress spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazahkstan on Monday. "This is a major milestone for the company as the business plan and investment over the last number of years is now en route to becoming crystallized," said Clarus Securities analyst Eyal Ofir. "With that in mind and the story being further de-risked we are taking this opportunity to stress our speculative buy recommendation." Mr. Ofir also raised his price target on the Vancouver promotion to $4, from his earlier target of $3. The stock closed on Tuesday at $2.42, up 37 cents. UrtheCast, which Clarus describes as a "disruptive new entrant to the earth observation market," will provide video feeds and images to viewers on-line free of charge. Mr. Ofir sees potential upside valuation as high as $8.40.
