The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, June 5, edition that Scotia Capital analyst Eric Winmill has reaffirmed his "sector outperform" ranking for Torex Gold Resources. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Winmill gave his share target a $2 boost to $50. Analysts on average target the shares at $54.46. Mr. Winmill says in a note: "2025 production remains on track. ... Torex expects production to sequentially improve through 2025. ... Torex has guided to be at a net debt position of $90-million following the Media Luna construction. Media Luna continues to ramp up with the paste backfill plant scheduled to come on-line in the coming weeks. Paste plant building construction has been completed with 10 km of the total 14.5 km of piping for the paste backfill system reportedly completed to date. Piping installing is being sequenced when the conveyor is off to ensure maximal safety. ... Torex continues to work through optimization activities at the site, including identification of critical spare parts and procuring inventory in site. ... Torex continues to evaluate accretive M&A targets with a capital returns strategy planned to coincide with free cash flow generation in 2H/2025."
