The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, April 16, edition that CIBC World Markets analyst Cosmos Chiu has upgraded Torex Gold Resources to "outperformer" from "neutral." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Chiu's share target soared $16 to $58. Analysts on average target the shares at $45.68. Mr. Chiu says in a note: "With Torex Gold Resources shares approaching our price target, we have taken this opportunity to revisit our investment thesis for this company. 2025 is an important year for Torex Gold and the company has been achieving its key milestones, including the completion of the four-week tie-in period for the Media Luna project by the end of March, 2025." The Globe reported on Sept. 11 that RBC kept Torex at "outperform" when it was worth $24.97. The Globe reported on Oct. 11 that National Bank Financial analyst Don DeMarco elevated his recommendation for Torex Gold to "outperform" from "sector perform." Torex Gold shares could then be had for $29.14.
