The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Sept. 19, edition that National Bank Financial analyst Dan Payne is keeping his "outperform" call for Tamarack Valley Energy intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Payne gave his share target a 25-cent boost to $7.50. Analysts on average target the shares at $6.90. Mr. Payne says in a note: "A sound transaction by the company, which high-grades its assets toward best in class, and provides accelerating visibility toward augmented returns through the outlook; Tamarack Valley Energy is poised for a 15-per-cent return profile (vs. peers 12 per cent), on a leverage of 0.4 times (vs. peers 0.7 times), while trading at a 2026 estimated EV/DACF of 4.1 times (vs. peers 2.4 times)." The Globe reported on March 20 that Desjardins Securities analyst Chris MacCulloch had lowered his recommendation for Tamarack Valley Energy to "hold" from "buy." The shares could then be had for $4.30. The Globe reported on June 27 and Aug. 1 that Raymond James analyst Luke Davis had reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Tamarack Valley Energy. The shares could then be had for $4.89 and $5.31.
