The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday edition that Stifel analyst Cody Kwong continues to rate Tamarack Valley Energy "buy." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Kwong gave his share target a 25-cent boost to $5. Analysts on average target the shares at $5.32. Mr. Kwong says in a note: "The company's 4Q23 results generally matched expectations, while benefits of the company's Clearwater acquisition activity is starting to pay dividends with solid F&A costs noted for 2023. Tamarack accelerated its capex investment plans with $20-million spent in 4Q23, which has now officially been removed from its revised 2024 budget (now $390-million to $440-million), with zero changes to its production outlook. Tamarack also references some impressive operational results in the Clearwater and Charlie Lake plays. Our 2024e/2025e estimates are largely unchanged, and we expect Tamarack Valley to begin delivering meaningfully on its enhanced shareholder return commitment in 2Q24. Based on crude oil price moving modestly higher since our last update, we are increasing our target price." The Globe reported on Oct. 31 that Mr. Kwong said Tamarack was "back on track." It was then worth $6.08.
