The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Sept. 15, edition that some share targets were elevated on Transat AT following fiscal third quarter results that beat Street expectations despite the recent rebound in fuel prices. The Globe's Darcy Keith writes in the Eye On Equities column that CIBC World Markets raised its share target by 50 cents to $4.25. National Bank of Canada gave its share target a 25-cent boost to $4. The Globe says Transat expects the positive momentum to continue in this summer's quarter and upcoming winter season, more than offsetting the headwind of higher fuel prices. Mr. Keith adds that forward bookings continue to beat records. The Globe reported on May 31 and Aug. 24 that National Bank Financial had reiterated its "underperformer" recommendation on Transat AT. In the May item it gave its share target a 25-cent boost to $3.25 and then in August another shove ahead to $3.75. The shares could then be had for $4.13 and $4.40. The Globe reported on June 6 that CIBC World Markets analyst Kevin Chiang had reiterated his "underperformer" call on Transat AT. Mr. Chiang upgraded his share target to $3.50 from $2.50. Transat AT shares could then be had for $4.64.
