The Investment Reporter, in its June 23, 2023, issue, says hold Thomson Reuters Corp., recently $166.08. The Reporter said buy 27 times from March 12, 1996, to March 22, 2019, at prices ranging from $17.75 to $72.18. Assuming a $1,000 investment for each of the 27 buys, the $27,000 position would now be worth $116,422. Thomson Reuters is a Canadian multinational mass media and information firm. For the three months ended March 31, 2023, Thomson had adjusted earnings of $391-million (U.S.), or 82 U.S. cents a share, compared with earnings of $322-million (U.S.), or 66 U.S. cents a share, in the same period of 2022. The company's organic revenue grew by 6 per cent over this period. The company has largely maintained its 2023 outlook, calling for organic revenue growth of 5.5 to 6 per cent. The Reporter likes the company's growth potential but thinks Thomson Reuter's high valuation could limit price growth over the next few years. The stock trades at 37.4 times the company's 2023 estimated earnings of $4.44 a share. The Reporter says hold Thomson Reuters.
