The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, July 17, edition that TD Cowen analyst Craig Hutchison has downgraded Taseko Mines to "hold" from "buy." The Globe's Darcy Keith writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Hutchison's share target advanced $1.50 to $5. Analysts on average target the shares at $4.87. Mr. Hutchison cites higher valuation multiples, along with increased copper prices and valuation for the New Prosperity project, for the higher share target. Mr. Hutchison says in a note, "However, with the shares trading at 1.3 times NAV and 5.7 times 2026E EBITDA, we believe Taseko Mines is fully valued and we are downgrading to 'hold.'" The Globe reported on Dec. 11, April 3 and June 25 that National Bank analysts continued to rate Taseko Mines "outperform." It was then worth $2.99, $3.20 and $4.02. The Globe reported on July 8 that Paradigm Capital analyst Jeff Woolley was keeping his "buy" recommendation for Taseko Mines intact. The shares could then be had for $4.48.
