The Globe and Mail reports in its Thursday, Oct. 19, edition that Scotia Capital analyst Mario Saric continues to rate Tricon Residential "sector perform." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Saric gave his share target a 75-cent trim to $10.25 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $10.20. Mr. Saric says in a note: "Despite lower estimates (target price down 7.5 per cent) on a 25 basis points uptick in 2024 financing costs and NAV cap rate (both to 5.75 per cent), we think Tricon Residential can deliver one of the best NTM [next 12-month] total returns (43 per cent) in our universe as 2023 year-over-year mid-single-digit FFOPS [funds from operations per share] erosion transitions to near-double-digit growth (14 per cent delta in rate of growth). We think Tricon Resident [is] the best [way] to play a Fed-pause and soft landing macro thesis."
