The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, April 3, edition that BMO Nesbitt Burns analyst Tim Casey has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Telus. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Casey gave his share target a $2 trim to $24. Analysts on average target the shares at $26.19. Mr. Casey says in a note: "We are trimming our Q1 estimates based on timing issues related to capex spend and a recovery in margins at Telus International. Our full-year outlook is for modest negative revisions as competitive intensity remains elevated in 1H24. We believe Telus's cash flow will be less impacted than peers based on business mix and regional exposure." The Globe reported on Jan. 4, 2023, and Feb. 14, 2023, that Mr. Casey continued to rate Telus "buy." Telus shares could then be had for $26.32 and $27.38. The Globe reported on Jan. 5, 2024, and Feb. 13, 2024, that Scotia Capital analyst Maher Yaghi continued to rate Telus "sector outperform." It was then worth $23.87 and $23.71. The Globe reported on March 26, 2024, that National Bank Financial analyst Adam Shine continued to rate Telus "outperform." The shares could then be had for $21.46.
