SALAZAR RESOURCES ANNOUNCES PRIVATE PLACEMENT OF UP TO $1.5 MILLION

Salazar Resources Ltd. has arranged a non-brokered private placement for the sale of up to 30 million common shares of the company at a price of five cents per share to raise gross proceeds of up to $1.5-million. Insider participation is anticipated in the amount of up to $325,000 of the private placement. Finders' fees may be payable on a portion of the private placement, and net proceeds will be used for working capital and exploration.

All securities to be issued in the private placement are subject to a four-month hold period and to all necessary regulatory approvals, including the final acceptance of the TSX Venture Exchange.
