Mr. Anoosh Manzoori reports
SPARC AI SELECTS GOOGLE CORAL TO LAUNCH GEOSPATIAL
CHIP FOR AUTONOMOUS DRONES
Sparc AI Inc. has selected Coral as the
preferred platform for embedding its patented geospatial code.
Coral is a company owned
by Google for developing AI (artificial intelligence) applications
on microcontroller boards and processor
chips.
Coral helps bring on-device AI application
ideas from prototype to production. It offers a platform of hardware components
and software tools to allow Sparc AI to
integrate its code base and launch its own
commercial chip for sale.
By leveraging Coral, Sparc AI can offer an industry-accepted microchip that can be integrated into
any sensor or camera device. It can also be integrated into drones and robot devices.
The chip integration will make Sparc AI products covert and leverage edge computing with no
connection to the cloud or Internet. It will deliver unprecedented geospatial capability that is highly
scalable, fast and accurate.
The company plans to offer its customers a simple plug-and-play integration of Sparc AI. It could
also launch its own branded drones by partnering with an OEM (original equipment manufacturing) drone manufacturer.
Sparc AI is working with a local software and embedded systems engineering firm to undertake the
technical work.
We seek Safe Harbor.
