The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Jan. 17, edition that analysts at Acumen Capital have named Source Energy Services one of their "Dark Horse" stock picks for 2024. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that the analysts say Source Energy Services has "lost a surprising amount of investor conviction" and remains "under the radar" and "could surprise to the upside" this year. The Acumen stockpickers rate Source Energy Services "buy," with a $15 share target. Analysts on average target the shares at $9.50. The Acumen analysts say in a note: "Source Energy Services was one of the top performers in our coverage universe last year (up 92 per cent since we initiated in early-February). We expect strong operational momentum to continue in 2024. FCF will be used to pay down higher interest senior notes reducing overall leverage." The Globe reported on March 11, 2020, that Industrial Alliance rated Source Energy "sell." It was then worth, adjusted for a 1:12 share rollback, $1.56. The Globe reported on April 26, 2023, that BMO analyst John Gibson had elevated his recommendation for Source Energy to "outperform" from "market perform." The shares could then be had for $3.80.
