RB Global's Ritchie Bros. expands Orlando auction

2026-10-14 19:03 ET - News Release

Mr. Jake Lawson reports

RITCHIE BROS. EXPANDS WORLD'S LARGEST HEAVY EQUIPMENT & TRANSPORTATION AUCTION TO SIX DAYS IN FEBRUARY 2027

RB Global Inc.'s Ritchie Bros. will expand its February Orlando auction, the world's largest heavy equipment auction, from five days to six. The auction runs from Feb. 15, 2027, to Feb. 20, 2027, with on-site preview days from Feb. 10 to Feb. 14, so buyers can inspect equipment in person before bidding opens.

The expansion builds on strong participation at the February, 2026, event, which drew more than 19,500 registrants from over 80 countries. They bid on 14,500-plus heavy equipment assets and vehicles, including 6,500-plus pieces of construction equipment, 2,600-plus trucks and trailers, 460-plus consumer vehicles, 70-plus lifting assets, and 55-plus quarry and aggregate assets.

Global demand, concentrated in one event

Orlando brings the full reach of the Ritchie Bros. marketplace into one event. That marketplace connects sellers with buyers in 190-plus countries through 60-plus full-service yards in 14 countries, more than 700 sales representatives, 400-plus events a year and a 24/seven on-line marketplace. For sellers, this means their equipment is seen by a large international buyer base, and competitive bidding happens on site and on-line at the same time.

"Orlando is where the industry comes together every February and our customers have told us they want more of it," said Jake Lawson, president, heavy equipment and transportation, North America. "When a seller consigns here, their equipment goes in front of buyers from around the world in a single week. Adding a sixth day lets us offer more equipment and more selling options without losing the on-line and live, on-site energy that makes this event unique."

Highlights include wheel loaders, motor graders and articulated dump trucks crossing the ramp on day 2. Day 3 features smooth drum and padfoot compactors and crawler tractors on the ramp, while cranes are sold by photo in the main auditorium. On day 4, excavators will sell via sound truck in the yard. Day 6 closes the event with a TAL-only sale of consumer vehicles, including pickups, SUVs (sport utility vehicles) and automobiles, along with trailers.

"Whether customers join us in the stands, out in the yard or on-line from anywhere in the world, the February Orlando auction gives them access to one of the deepest selections of equipment on the calendar," Mr. Lawson said. "We look forward to welcoming buyers and consignors back to Orlando."
