The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Oct. 4, edition that Scotia Capital analyst Divya Goyal has lowered her recommendation for Quisitive Technology Solutions to "sector perform" from "sector outperform." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Ms. Goyal gave her share target a 30-cent trim to 40 cents. Analysts on average target the shares at 91 cents. Ms. Goyal cites the "possible uncertainty" stemming from the outcome of a shareholder meeting to remove and replace three board members and "lack of clarity" on the timing of its review process for her rating downgrade. The Scotia Capital stockpicker says in a note: "This shareholder group, supported by 33 per cent of the company's shareholders, does not believe in the board's current strategy and would like to replace these board members with their proposed directors. While the company indicated that they have not received any formal requisition from this shareholder group, they have set up a special committee of independent directors to supervise the process. The company has also engaged William Blair & Company as financial advisor to assess strategic alternatives available to the company."
