The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, March 13, edition that RBC Dominion Securities analyst Greg Pardy has reaffirmed his "sector perform" recommendation for Parex Resources. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Pardy's share target soared ahead by $5 to $28. Analysts on average target the shares at $24.24. Mr. Pardy says in a note: "Parex's $750-million cash acquisition of Frontera Energy's Colombian upstream assets will see the company become the largest independent E&P in Colombia. The transaction serves to meaningfully increase the scale of Parex's portfolio, taking advantage of its strong balance sheet position to outbid GeoPark and get the transaction over the line." The Globe reported on March 7 and Sept. 30 that Mr. Pardy had reiterated his "sector perform" call for Parex Resources, when the shares could be had for $12.63 and $18.19. The Globe's guest columnist Norman Rothery recommended Parex Resources on Feb. 21 as a good way to build wealth. Parex shares were then going for $21.82.
