The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Nov. 10, edition that RBC Capital analyst Luke Davis has elevated his recommendation for Parex Resources to "outperform" from "sector perform." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Davis gave his share target a $3 boost to $33. Analysts on average target the shares at $35.94. Mr. Davis says in a note: "Parex posted a decent quarter with volumes lighter than anticipated but CFPS ahead, though we see a favourable setup into 2024. Production volumes are trending higher; management expects to exit the year well ahead of 60,000 boe/d with three impactful wells coming on-line through Q4. Management has outlined several near-term catalysts on the horizon, which coupled with a deeply discounted valuation, present a strong risk-reward profile in our view." The Globe reported on Jan. 19 that Barclays analyst Anthony Linton began coverage on Parex with an "overweight" rating. The shares could then be had for $22.17. The Globe reported on May 12 that Mr. Davis had downgraded Parex to "sector perform" from "outperform." The shares could then be had for $26.17.
