Mr. Marcel Robillard reports
PUMA EXPLORATION ANNOUNCES TEMPORARY WORK STOPPAGE
Puma Exploration Inc. has temporarily halted all exploration operations utilizing heavy equipment, such as excavation, trenching and drilling, at its properties in northern New Brunswick following the province's ban on Crown land activities prompted by the extreme wildfire hazard.
Marcel Robillard, president and chief executive officer, stated: "Due to exceptionally dry and hazardous conditions, all activities on Crown land have been suspended until further notice. This is an unprecedented situation in all my years of working in New Brunswick. Our thoughts are with the local community and residents of New Brunswick, and we send our heartfelt thanks to the firefighters who are relentlessly fighting the blazes currently burning in the province."
The company will provide additional information when available.
About Puma's assets in New Brunswick
Puma has accumulated an impressive portfolio of prospective gold landholdings strategically located close to roads and infrastructure in northern New Brunswick, including the Williams Brook project and the new McKenzie gold project. Both are located near the Rocky Brook Millstream fault (RBMF), a major regional structure formed during the Appalachian orogeny and a significant control for gold deposition in the region. Puma's work to date has focused on the Williams Brook property, but prospecting and surface exploration work on its other properties have confirmed their potential for significant gold mineralization.
