Globe says MacNeil keeps Pembina Pipeline at "buy"

2025-12-17 06:14 ET - In the News

The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday edition that following Monday's announcement of Pembina Pipeline's 2026 earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization, and capital guidance, fully reassigned capacity at the Cedar LNG facility, and the sanctioning of the Fox Creek to Namao expansion of its Peace pipeline, TD Cowen analyst Aaron MacNeil lowered his share target to $60 from $65, while maintaining his recommendation at "buy." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that analysts on average target the shares at $57.43. Mr. MacNeil says in a note: "Based on our revised estimates, Pembina now trades modestly above its 10-year mean valuation. While we believe that a premium to its historical valuation is warranted given its increasingly clear visibility to long-term growth, a strong long-term track record and a strict adherence to its financial guardrails, our valuation-based positive thesis is somewhat diminished. That said, value has become increasingly difficult to find in this sector and Pembina continues to have among the largest total return to targets in our coverage universe." The Globe reported on Jan. 16 that Mr. MacNeil rated Pembina "buy." It was then worth $52.95.
