The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Aug. 28, edition that ATB Cormark Capital Markets analyst Nicholas Boychuk has raised his recommendation for Kraken Robotics to "sector perform" from "underperform." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Boychuk continues to target the shares at $5. Analysts on average target the shares at $10.48. Mr. Boychuk says in a note: "Kraken Robotics reported mixed Q2/2026 results relative to estimates. Additional colour alongside the quarter was constructive in some manners, but also lacked material news to reinvigorate the stock. In particular, guidance was reaffirmed for the full-year, but visibility and program timing uncertainty back weight H2/2026 estimates, likely putting the stock in a range-bound pattern near-term. ...The recent downward revision in Kraken Robotics' share price derisks some of the valuation overhang and our concerns about geopolitical and technical headwinds. It's always been our view that Kraken Robotics has the makings to become a core Canadian defence champion. We still believe this to be the case with further execution, but remain cautious by the time to get there."
