The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, April 3, edition that BMO Capital analyst John Gibson is keeping his "outperform" recommendation for Parkland intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Gibson gave his share target a $2 trim to $55. Analysts on average target the shares at $54.45. Mr. Gibson says in a note: "We are updating estimates to reflect higher-than-expected downtime in Q1/24. Post update, we are decreasing our target price to $55, which reflects a modestly lower target multiple for the company's refining operations (four times now vs. 4.5 times prior). We continue to believe strong upside lies in the shares pending Parkland can execute on its short- and longer-term targets, particularly given incremental cost savings this year, although risk lies in its 2024 guide." The Globe reported on Nov. 16 that RBC Capital analyst Luke Davis was sticking with his "outperform" recommendation for Parkland when it could be had for $44.46. The Globe reported on Feb. 2 that Mr. Gibson continued to rate Parkland "outperform." The shares could then be had for $47.35.
