GFI ANNOUNCES GRANT OF RSUS

Global Food and Ingredients Ltd. has issued a total of 1,565,000 restricted share units to certain non-executive senior employees of the company in accordance with the company's omnibus equity incentive plan. The RSUs will vest evenly over a three-year period beginning on the one-year anniversary of the date of grant. Once vested, each RSU represents the right to receive one common share of the company or the equivalent cash value thereof at the company's direction.
