The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, March 8, edition that Acumen Capital analyst Jim Byrne has reaffirmed his "buy" recommendation for Pollard Banknote. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Byrne elevated his Street-high share target to $47 from $45. Analysts on average target the shares at $41.50. Mr. Byrne says in a note: "Q4 gives us further confidence in the improvements expected in profitability over the next several quarters. We expect gradual improvements in gross margins through the end of 2024. Along with strong iLottery results and record demand for the other segments of their business, Pollard Banknote remains well positioned for the future." The Globe reported on March 12, 2023, Mr. Byrne rated Pollard Banknote "buy," with a $42 share target. Pollard shares could then be had for $23.04. The Globe reported on Nov. 9, 2023, that Canaccord Genuity analyst Robert Young was keeping his "buy" recommendation for Pollard Banknote intact. The shares could then be had for $30.80.
