The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, April 19, edition that National Bank Financial analyst Mike Parkin has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Oceanagold. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Parkin continues to target the shares at $4.75. Analysts on average target the shares at $4.11. Mr. Parkin says in a note: "Despite some volatility in the near-term ramp-up of the Haile underground mine, Oceanagold continues to exhibit strong operational performance and remains set to deliver significant growth in 2024. The growth will be 2H24 weighted as the Horseshoe U/G ramps up at Haile and elevated stripping weighs on H1 performance at Haile and Macraes." The Globe reported on Dec. 8 that Desjardins Securities analysts John Sclodnick and Jonathan Egilo rated Oceanagold "buy." They said Oceanagold was one of their top picks. The shares could then be had for $2.30. The Globe reported on Jan. 16 and Feb. 7 that National Bank Financial analyst Shane Nagle had reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Oceanagold when it could be had for $2.55 and $2.68.
