The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday edition that National Bank Financial analysts, ahead of the start of fourth quarter 2023 earnings season for Canadian precious metals companies, expect 2024 guidance will remain a focus of investors, pointing to "higher year-over-year variability and cost increases across the sector." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Oceanagold is a top pick for the analysts. They rate Oceanagold "outperform," with an unchanged share target of $4. Analysts on average target the shares at $4.06. Analyst Shane Nagle says in a short note, "Despite some volatility in near-term ramp-up of the Haile underground mine, Oceanagold continues to exhibit strong operational performance and remains set to deliver significant growth in 2024." The Globe reported on July 21 that National Bank analyst Mike Parkin continued to rate Oceanagold "outperform," with a $4.25 share target. The shares could then be had for $2.62. The Globe reported on Dec. 8 that Oceanagold was a top pick for 2024 at Desjardins. It was then worth $2.30. The Globe reported on Jan. 16 that Mr. Nagle had reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation and $4 share target for Oceanagold when it could be had for $2.55.
