The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, March 7, edition that Scotia Capital analyst Orest Wowkodaw continues to rate NexGen Energy "sector outperform." The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Wowkodaw gave his share target a $2.50 trim to $12. Analysts on average target the shares at $13.98. Mr. Wowkodaw says in a note: "We have reset our development, ramp-up, and financing assumptions for NexGen Energy's flagship Arrow U3O8 project in Saskatchewan based on our expectation of an extended permitting/licencing cycle (we now anticipate construction to begin in mid-2026 with start-up in 2031, both one-year later than previously expected). Given our lower estimates, we view the update as negative for NexGen shares. Despite our tempered expectations, we continue to rate NexGen Energy shares 'sector outperform' based on the company's world-class Arrow deposit, ongoing exploration upside (particularly at PCE), takeover optionality and attractive fundamentals." The Globe reported on Nov. 20 and Jan. 7 that Mr. Wowkodaw continued to rate NexGen Energy "sector outperform." The shares could then be had for $11.38 and $10.14.
