The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Feb. 21, edition that Raymond James analyst Steve Hansen has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Nutrien. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Hansen gave his share target an $8 boost to $68 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $59.58. Mr. Hansen says in a note: "We are increasing our target on Nutrien and reiterating our 'outperform' rating based upon: 1) the company's strong 4Q24 beat; 2) our constructive view of global crop fundamentals; 3) tangible signs of life in global potash markets, including solid demand and rising prices across most global regions; and 4) tangible evidence that management is making clear strides toward its key strategic objectives." The Globe reported on Oct. 18 that CIBC World Markets analyst Jacob Bout was maintaining his "outperformer" recommendation for Nutrien. It was then worth $47.68. The Globe reported on Dec. 5 that Mr. Hansen had elevated his recommendation for Nutrien to "outperform" from "market perform." The shares could then be had for $48.08.
