The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Oct. 6, edition that BMO Capital analyst Brain Quast has reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation New Gold. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Quast gave his share target a 25-cent boost to $2.25. Analysts on average target the shares at $2.06. Mr. Quast says in a note: "New Gold has continued its strong start to the year with another impressive quarter, beating Q3 expectations with production of 111.2 koz AuEq (BMO estimate: 101.4 koz AuEq). With Rainy River roughly in line, it was New Afton that led the beat on account of better-than-expected throughput. We now expect the company to reach or potentially exceed the top end of annual production guidance." The Globe reported on Oct. 14, 2022, that Credit Suisse analyst Fahad Tariq rated New Gold "neutral." The shares could then be had for $1.21. The Globe reported on April 18, 2023, edition that CIBC World Markets analysts rated New Gold "neutral." The shares could then be had for $1.78. The Globe reported on April 26, 2023, analysts at Canaccord Genuity continued to rate New Gold "buy. It was then worth $1.74.
