The National Post reports in its Thursday, March 13, edition that Netflix is rebooting Cujo, the 1983 film based on the 1981 Stephen King novel of the same name. An unbylined item in the Post reports that Roy Lee will produce the project, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The psychological horror centres on a friendly St. Bernard that is bitten by a bat and contracts rabies, eventually attacking people it comes in contact with. The film, directed by Lewis Teague, starred Dee Wallace and Danny Pintauro as a mother and son who are trapped inside their car and must fend off the dog. Daniel Hugh Kelly also starred. Other Mr. King novels that have made it to the screen include The Shining, The Shawshank Redemption, Stand by Me and It. More recently Lewis Pullman and Alfre Woodard starred in the Max series Salem's Lot. In total, Mr. King has published about 65 novels and more than 200 short stories.
