The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, March 1, edition that BMO Capital analyst Tamy Chen is keeping her "outperform" recommendation for NFI Group intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Ms. Chen chipped $2 off her share target, taking it to $15. Analysts on average target the shares at $15.80. Ms. Chen says in a note: "We wonder if current 2024 and 2025 EBITDA guidance is sufficiently derisked to reflect labour tightness and lingering pockets of supply chain disruptions. We suspect [Thursday's] stock reaction (down 3 per cent) is reflecting a similar view. We remain 'outperform' as we continue to see value in the stock based on our forecasts for improving profitability during 2024 and solid performance in 2025." The Globe reported on Oct. 18 and Jan. 18 that National Bank Financial analyst Cameron Doerksen was sticking with his "outperform" recommendation for NFI Group when it could be had for $14.15 and $13.67. The Globe reported on Nov. 10 that ATB Capital Markets analyst Chris Murray had elevated his recommendation for NFI Group to "outperform" from "speculative buy." The shares could then be had for $13.49.
