The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Oct. 18, edition that National Bank Financial analyst Cameron Doerksen is sticking with his "outperform" recommendation for NFI Group. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Doerksen gave his share target a $3 boost to $18. Analysts on average target the shares at $14.42. Mr. Doerksen says in a note: "NFI is the best performing stock in our coverage universe so far in 2023, up 49 per cent year-to-date versus the TSX up 1 per cent. With demand for buses continuing to be strong, we believe financial results will trend much more positively in the coming quarters, which we believe will support further upside to the share price." The Globe reported on March 7 that ATB Capital Markets analyst Chris Murray was holding on to his "speculative buy" call for NFI Group. The shares could then be had for $9.30. The Globe reported on Aug. 29 Mr. Doerksen had, upon resuming coverage of NFI Group, reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation and $15 share target. NFI shares were then going for $12.
