AGREEMENT IN PRINCIPLE REACHED WITH UNIONIZED EMPLOYEES OF THE PRODUCE DISTRIBUTION CENTRE IN LAVAL, TRANSPORTATION AND HEAD OFFICE
An agreement in principle has been reached today with STTEUMR (CSN) for the renewal of the collective agreement of the unionized employees at Metro Inc.'s produce distribution centre in Laval, transportation and head office, on strike since March 30.
The agreement in principle will be unanimously recommended by the union's bargaining committee. It will be submitted to the employees for a ratification vote on Sept. 24. The union will present the details of the agreement to its members on that occasion.
In the meantime, Metro's stores continue to be well stocked to meet customers' needs.
