The Toronto Stock Exchange reports that the spinoff by Maple Leaf Foods Inc. of Canada Packers Inc., by way of a plan of arrangement, has closed. At the close on Oct. 1, 2025, trading in the common shares of Maple Leaf Foods in the when-issued, ex distribution market will terminate, and the symbol MFI.W will be delisted at the close that day.

At the open on Oct. 2, 2025, the Maple Leaf Foods common shares (symbol MFI and Cusip No. 564905 10 7) will begin trading in the regular market on an ex distribution basis, without any entitlement to the Canada Packers common shares to be distributed pursuant to the arrangement.

According to the TSX, trading in the Canada Packers common shares on a when-issued basis will terminate at the close on Oct. 1, 2025. At the open on Oct. 2, 2025, the Canada Packers common shares will begin trading on a regular basis under the current Cusip number, No. 135180 10 7, and the current stock symbol, CPKR.
