The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Sept. 15, edition that BMO Capital analyst Kevin O'Halloran reinstated MAG Silver with an "outperform" recommendation and $23.50 target. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that analysts on average target the shares at $23.60. Mr. O'Halloran says in a note: "MAG's 44-per-cent-owned Juanicipio project, operated by 56-per-cent partner Fresnillo, declared commercial production on June 1 and is ramping up to nameplate production by the end of Q3. We expect MAG shares to rerate to higher multiples as Juanicipio completes its ramp up and begins cash flow distributions to the JV partners. Exploration at MAG's other projects has the potential to generate further positive catalysts." The Globe reported on Sept. 15, 2022, that Scotia Capital rated Mag Silver "sector perform," when it was worth $16.12. The Globe reported on March 29, 2023, that H.C. Wainwright analyst Heiko Ihle was sticking with his "buy" recommendation for Mag Silver. The shares were then going for $16.43. The Globe reported on June 20, 2023, that Canaccord Genuity analyst Lucas Pamatat had assumed coverage of Mag Silver with a "speculative buy" recommendation. It was then worth $15.80.
