The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday edition that RBC analyst Sam Crittenden warns falling base metals prices will be a significant headwind to second quarter financial results for North American producers. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Crittenden has reaffirmed his "sector perform" recommendation for Lundin Mining. The RBC stockpicker continues to target the shares at $12. Analysts on average target the shares at $11.19. Mr. Crittenden says in a note: "For Lundin, we expect a neutral quarter, as we don't expect any operational surprises relative to conservative guidance. We expect a technical report with closing of the Caserones deal mid-July, which could be a slight negative if it proves more conservative than current estimates." The Globe reported on Feb. 27 that National Bank Financial Shane Nagle had elevated his recommendation for Lundin Mining to "sector perform" from "underperform." It was then worth $8.29. The Globe reported on May 30 that CIBC World Markets analyst Bryce Adams had reaffirmed his "neutral" recommendation for Lundin Mining. The shares were then going for $10.16.
