In a letter to Mr. Carney on Sunday, Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre and his Canada-U.S. relations critic Shuvaloy Majumdar accused the Prime Minister of routinely caving to President Donald Trump over the past year. Mr. Poilievre and Mr. Majumdar referenced scrapping the digital-service tax, lifting Canada's counter-tariffs and sharing net toll revenue from the Gordie Howe International Bridge. They countered Mr. Carney's assertion that no deal is preferable to a bad one, highlighting job losses in manufacturing-centric Canadian cities reliant on cross-border supply chains.
