Important Safety Notice: Recall of PC® Moroccan-Style Hummus

BRAMPTON, ON, May 25, 2015 /CNW/ - Loblaw Companies Limited is recalling PC® Moroccan-Style Hummus with the UPC 060383133870 and best before date 2015 JN 14 because it may contain the toxin produced by Staphylococcus bacteria (see attached). Consumers should not consume the recalled product.

The products were sold at the following locations:

Ontario: Fortinos®, Loblaws®, No Frills®, Real Canadian Superstore®, Valu-Mart®, Your Independent Grocer®, Zehrs® and affiliated independent stores

Atlantic: Atlantic Superstore®, Dominion®, No Frills®, Save Easy® and Your Independent Grocer®

Québec: Loblaws®, Maxi®, Maxi & Cie®, Provigo®, Provigo le Marché® and affiliated independent stores

West: Extra Foods®, No Frills®, Real Canadian Superstore®, Real Canadian Wholesale Club®, Your Independent Grocer® and affiliated independent stores

There have been no complaints or reports of illness associated with the product to date and all units have been removed from store shelves across the country.

Customers can return the products to the place of purchase and the customer service desk will provide a full refund.
