The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday, Oct. 6, edition that BMO Nesbitt Burns analyst Thanos Moschopoulos is sticking with his "outperform" call on Kinaxis. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Moschopoulos whacked his share target back by $15 to $190. Kinaxis shares have been trending down since July, and that has Mr. Moschopoulos seeing "better value" in the shares today. Mr. Moschopoulos says in a note: "The stock has significantly underperformed SaaS peers in recent weeks, and is trading at its lowest EV [enterprise value]/sales multiple since 2018. Based on industry discussions, we believe that deal activity is likely slowing in response to macro uncertainty. However, we believe that a deceleration has been priced into the stock, and that customer expansions (stemming from the large cohort of new wins Kinaxis signed over the past two years) should allow [it] to sustain a healthy growth rate." Mr. Moschopoulos says he was told senior consultant at a large global advisory that deal activity for supply chain planning software has "sharply decelerated" in recent weeks. The Globe reported on May 6 that Mr. Moschopoulos rated Kinaxis "outperform" when it was worth $179.
