Mr. Peter Bell reports
KERMODE PERMITS LIGHTNING PEAK PROJECT
Kermode Resources Ltd. has received permit approval for exploration at the
Lightning Peak project. The permit includes five sites for surface drilling and three sites
for trenching or bulk sampling.
Kermode chief executive officer Peter Bell commented: "The plan for this work program includes three
phases. The first phase will be surface trenching at known gold occurrences where we
perform gravity concentrate testwork on sample material. The second phase will include
shallow drilling less than 10 metres with a backpack drill. The third phase will be deeper
drilling with a core rig to intercept the target horizon at less than 100-metre depth."
One target area is the Morning showing (082ENE022), which is a past producer. The
Morning vein dips 75 degrees west, hosted by a shear zone striking north-south. One of the
collapsed shafts exposed a vein where metal rail tracks and machinery were found.
Dump material consisted of vuggy, milky quartz with coarse pyrite and other sulphides.
