The Globe and Mail reports in its Friday edition that BMO Capital analyst Jackie Przybylowski has reaffirmed her "outperform" recommendation for Iamgold. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Ms. Przybylowski continues to target the shares at $4.25 (all figures U.S.). Analysts on average target the shares at $3.46. Ms. Przybylowski says in a note: "Iamgold is better-poised to take advantage of current high gold prices by deferring its obligation to deliver on the gold prepay arrangement previously agreed for Q2/24. Bringing cash flows forward increases our Iamgold target (calculated 50 per cent on NAV and 50 per cent on NTM [next 12 month] CFO) and raises leverage to current strong commodity prices. We maintain our 'outperform' rating -- Iamgold has had a string of good news recently including this as well as first gold at Cote." The Globe reported on April 19 that Ms. Przybylowski, citing Iamgold's valuation after rallying in 2022 and concerns about the impact of the continuing review of its Cote gold project in Northern Ontario, cut her recommendation to "market perform" from "outperform." It was then worth $2.95. She reaffirmed her "outperform" call on Dec. 20 when it was worth $2.68.
