Independence Gold summarizes 3Ts metallurgical results

2025-09-10 13:44 ET - News Release

Mr. Randy Turner reports

INDEPENDENCE GOLD REPORTS METALLURGY RESULTS FROM THE 3TS PROJECT, BC

Independence Gold Corp. has released updated metallurgical recovery results from the 3Ts project. Located approximately 185 kilometres southwest of Prince George, B.C., the 3Ts project comprises 31 mineral claims covering approximately 35,486 hectares in the Nechako plateau region. The project is situated 16 kilometres southwest of Artemis Gold Inc.'s Blackwater mine and covers a low-sulphidation epithermal quartz-carbonate vein district, within which at least 19 known mineralized veins, ranging from 50 to over 1,100 metres in strike length and true widths of up to 32 metres, have been identified.

Metallurgical testing was conducted by Base Metallurgical Laboratories Ltd. in Kamloops, B.C., and returned positive results that further confirmed previous metallurgical testing. These tests evaluated a three-stage process, including gravity concentration, flotation and cyanide leaching.

Sample selection and preparation

Composite samples comprising mineralized vein material were collected from drill core recovered during the 2024 to 2025 program and were selected to test mineralized veins at depth as well as two new veins (Johnny and Larry) that were intersected during the recent drill program. The three tests were:

  • Tommy vein (deep):
    • 3TS-24-27 from 361.39 m to 429.96 m, including grades up to 13.46 grams per tonne gold and 119.0 g/t silver (see news release dated Jan. 20, 2025);
  • Johnny vein system:
    • 3TS-25-05 from 13.59 m to 85.50 m, including grades up to 19.95 g/t gold and 176.0 g/t silver (see news release dated March 20, 2025);
  • Larry vein:
    • 3TS-27-07 from 179.00 m to 198.40 m, including grades up to 20.36 g/t gold and 333 g/t silver (see news release dated March 26, 2025).

Note: Mineralized samples were selected from intervals rather than a complete run through these lengths.

Gravity, flotation and leaching test results

Composite samples were subjected to three testing stages: gravity; gravity and flotation; and gravity, flotation and cyanide leaching. On average across the three composites, the full flow sheet yields program-level averages of roughly 92 per cent gold and 90 per cent silver.

These results are consistent with and, in some cases, approach or exceed historical recoveries reported in 2021, which included 93.9-per-cent gold recovery and 92.4-per-cent silver recovery for the Tommy vein and up to 97.9-per-cent gold recovery and 95.5-per-cent silver recovery for the Ted-Mint vein (see news release dated March 4, 2021). The recoveries further validate the potential processability of the 3Ts mineralized material across new veins and at depth.

The table below shows recoveries for the three-stage tests on each of the vein composites.

"We are pleased to receive the latest results from the metallurgical testing," stated Randy Turner, president and chief executive officer of Independence Gold. "These results give further confidence in previous recoveries conducted using vein material collected from the untested Larry and Johnny veins as well as a Tommy vein sample that was taken at a significant depth. These results strengthen the viability of the 3Ts project to support future resource growth and potential economic development."

Wildfire update

Wildfire G41658 continues to burn out of control, with an evacuation order still in place affecting the 3Ts project camp. This wildfire has grown to more than 2,100 hectares in size, with crews and heavy equipment creating fire breaks around the camp; structure protection is currently in place, taking steps to protect both the camp and the two core storage areas.
