The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Feb. 18, edition that RBC Capital Markets analyst Matthew McKellar has reiterated his "outperform" recommendation for Interfor. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. McKellar hiked his share target by a loonie to $14. Analysts on average target the shares at $12.25. Mr. McKellar says in a note: "While demand remains lacklustre, and prices in some regions are still at levels we would think are challenging, the lumber industry seems to be moving toward a place of better balance to start 2026 after a very soft finish to 2025 that in part could have been driven by inventory destocking. Interfor's financial flexibility has improved, and we continue to view the stock as inexpensive." The Globe reported on Oct. 3, Oct. 21 and Dec. 19 that Mr. McKellar had reaffirmed his "outperform" recommendation for Interfor. It was then worth $9.85, $8.20 and $7.99. The Globe reported on Jan. 23 that TD Cowen analyst Sean Steuart continued to rate Interfor "hold." The shares were then going for $10.43.
