GATEKEEPER CONTINUES BUSINESS EXPANSION IN FLORIDA

Gatekeeper Systems Inc. has recently received orders from four school districts in Florida for approximately $712,000 to equip school buses with video and data solutions under the company's platform-as-a-service (PaaS) business model. Most of these orders are for factory installation on new buses.

"Our continuing growth in Florida is important for Gatekeeper," commented Doug Dyment, president and chief executive officer. "We already have a well-established school district customer base in Florida, which is representative of approximately 40 per cent of Florida's total bus population, and our PaaS business model has already been embraced by numerous school districts. With the State of Florida having recently approved legislation allowing video enforcement of school bus stop arm violations, we are very well positioned to offer Student Protector to our customers."

Gatekeeper's Student Protector uses AI (artificial intelligence) and video analytics to detect, record evidence and capture licence plate data of vehicles that illegally pass a school bus when the stop arm is deployed for school children to cross the street. Gatekeeper's optional proprietary software also automates the ticketing process of these stop arm violations.
