The Globe and Mail reports in its Wednesday, Jan. 31, edition that Desjardins Securities analyst Jerome Dubreuil is keeping his "buy" recommendation for CGI intact. The Globe's David Leeder writes in the Eye On Equities column that Mr. Dubreuil boosted his share target by $7 to $163. Analysts on average target the shares at $152.64. Mr. Dubreuil says in a note: "Our forecast is now slightly below the Street's estimate as we believe organic growth should continue to slow in light of recent results from global peers. However, CGI's relatively small exposure to consulting (which is more discretionary), large exposure to the government vertical and recent strong bookings should help protect its results from the industry-wide headwinds." The Globe reported on July 28 and Oct. 27 that Mr. Dubreuil had maintained his "buy" call on CGI. The shares could then be had for $130.28 and $129.60. The Globe reported on Sept. 27 that RBC Capital Markets analyst Paul Treiber rated CGI "buy" when it could be had for $134.38. The Globe reported on Nov. 7 that BMO Capital analyst Thanos Moschopoulos continued to rate CGI "outperform." The shares could then be had for $140.09.
