S&P Dow Jones Indices Announces Changes to the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices

A Share Issuance from an S&P/TSX Composite Index Constituent

TORONTO, Oct. 28, 2014 /CNW/ - S&P Dow Jones Canadian Index Services will make the following changes in the S&P/TSX Canadian Indices:

Fortis Inc. (TSX:FTS) has announced the conversion of outstanding convertible debentures to common shares. To reflect the issuance of Fortis common shares as part of the conversion, the relative weight of Fortis will increase in the S&P/TSX Composite and Capped Composite, the S&P/TSX 60, 60 ESG and 60 Capped, the S&P/TSX Capped Utilities and the S&P/TSX Composite Dividend Indices after the close of trading on Tuesday, November 4, 2014. There will be no relative weight change for Fortis in the S&P/TSX Composite Equal Weight, the S&P/TSX 60 Equal Weight, the S&P/TSX Canadian Dividend Aristocrats, the S&P/TSX Composite High Dividend, the S&P/TSX Composite Low Volatility, the S&P/TSX Composite Buyback or the S&P/TSX Composite Shareholder Yield Indices as a result of this share issuance.
